Beginning Hapkido
Begins Friday, January 26th from 4pm to 6pm in Building 7 on the CLC Campus. Students should wear comfortable clothing that covers the knees and elbows.

2. The HwaRang Hapkido Club
Continues to meet each Friday evening from 6pm to 8 pm Building 7, College of Lake County unless pre-empted by other scheduling.

3. Building Hapkido Skills
An open-ended curriculum in Hapkido instruction for people seeking rank and progress through the art. The first class is January 8th from 7pm to 9pm. Students should wear comfortable clothing, though uniforms are available for purchase. Previous Martial art experience is helpful but not required. Classes are held at

ATTN: The Korean Sword program will be offered in the Spring in its original time slot and location. Failure to develop a sufficient class size (6 or more) will result in the time slot reverting to Hapkido for the Spring Semester.

GM J. R. West, 8th Dan #186 will be your host. GM West has recently been named by the DaeHan Kido Hwe as VP of Hapkido for the USA, and has recently been honored for his forty years of teaching Hapkido

As with last year, ITF 9th Degree Grand Master K.S. Hwang and NKMAA/WorldKidoHae 9th Degree Grand Master Rudy Timmerman will be offering seminars at the same event. Read their brief biographies below with a list of other scheduled guests.
Travel info: Get to interstate 10 and drive until you see Florida Exit 56. If you're flying in, airport code is VPS and about 20-25 minutes away. If that doesn't work out, go for PNS but you'll need to drive about 45-55 minutes. For those sun lovers, this is part of spring break time and beautiful Destin beaches are only about 30 miles away. And to boot, April is long before Hurricane season! :)
